Romanian designer Catalin Botezatu's collection was on luxury. Everything about his show was over the top - from the make up the models wore - a white canvas with theatrical eye shadow and lipstick, to the hats, which were representative of pieces of art.
The fur's were breathtaking. He showcased them in different styles: from coats to stoles and even as ponchos. I am sure the PETA police will be after me for saying this but I have no issue with wearing fur. I think the quality of faux fur is poor and rough, compared to the real thing and just like when I am eating my medium rare steak, and wearing my leather knee high PRADA boots, I don't exactly ponder where it originated from.
One interesting thing to note? Botezatu chose to use normal sized models for his show. If you notice, the model coming down the runway for the finale, definetely had some meat on her bones. Needless to say, I thought she pulled it off and I loved the dress. The mix of the blue with the tartan print, paying homage to his home country of Romania was the perfect way to close the show.
